Translation

We believe that translation should be more than a word-to-word mimic of the original text.  Accurate comprehension of the source language should lead to a “transcreated” final document, sensitive to cultural context.  To ensure that the communication goals of our clients are met, aLanguageBank’s Project Management staff has been trained to lead linguists through our quality-assured translation process.

Our policy requires two linguists, who are native speakers of the target language, per project.  The first will translate the text utilizing any glossary or terminology references provided.  A second linguist will edit the translation by reviewing the grammar, spelling, accuracy, fluidity and appropriateness of the material for its intended target.  Additional linguists will be used, if needed, until our Project Manager feels confident that the final translation meets the client’s objective. 

Desktop Publishing

We are capable of providing desktop publishing (DTP) and layout solutions for multilingual material in various formats.  Our studio is equipped with design software in both Macintosh and Microsoft Windows platforms.
