Design and Production

For Better Material

When content moves from a plan or a digital product to a physical product, we can help.

If you drive content and decision points with storytelling, you need to know how to connect on an emotional level. And the same story doesn’t always connect with all cultures. In-person experiences only resonate if you understand the audience enough to connect with them, both in their language and in their culture. Many experiences are human, and thus universal. But many are not. All groups react to and engage with experiences differently. So the products, staging, or environment you create for those experiences may need to vary. Digital experiences are more flexible. But even in-person physical experiences can be inclusive, or at least be sure to not be exclusive.

To compete with online shopping, brick and mortar or physical spaces nowadays are shifting to more reliance on retailtainment or showrooming. But these designed physical experiences still need to address all of your customers, especially in language. Web and digital properties can be localized. But is your on-site experience also sufficiently localized for all customers?

You should consider localizing:

Customer experience (CX)
Printing (pre-press and print-ready)
Signage
Banners
Installations
Staging
Exhibits
Packaging
Merchandising display

Our Advantage

You, or your clients, might need to build a wide variety of products. From simple event banners to giant wooden blocks of Chinese characters, whatever the project, you can count on us.

aLanguageBank is a language services company, but we have staff with backgrounds in printing, staging, event planning, set design, and sound design. We have a studio for multilingual work in audio, video, and digital services. We also have DTP resources working in languages from all over the world. Many languages have special requirements for layout and design. And not just font choice. Right-to-left writing, vertical writing, flipped design, and even languages with no spaces between words (but you still must know where line breaks are allowed) can all present challenges. We have experience building and localizing artwork to be printed on traditional and non-traditional materials.

We can also evaluate your story, the brand, or the experience design. Will it resonate? Can you align the brand with something from the culture to create instant affinity? Are you sure there is brand consistency across languages?

Culture inherently creates a sense of community. Don’t talk to an audience as an outsider. We will help you engage as an insider.
